Japan / Malaysia / Singapore Randoms

Long exposure over a random bridge in Tokyo

I would be tired too if I am bombarded everyday with the sights and sounds of Tokyo.

Tsukiji Fish market. At 5:30am in the morning, Tunas get sold to restaurants everyday. Some buyers / validators? would chip off a small chunk of the raw tuna to sample the catch.

A man with a bell would stand on top of a stool and hold an auction for certain sections of the room, and would continue until everything is sold. The auction would last about 1/2 - 1 hour.

One of many small, friendly family-run restaurants in Kyoto. This one is called Mama-san, which has 5 stools and a large table. Food was awesome for 500 yen!

One of many specialty shops in Tokyo.

Dim sum in HK. Standard fare here....

Random celebration in KL, Malaysia. We stumbled upon this at 11pm at night near one of many night markets.

Hah!

One of the many carts escorting tourists around Malaka, in KL. You know they are nearby from the loud, phat techno beats.

Night time street market in KL

Tsukiji Fish Market, Tokyo. You would think it's a dirty and smelly place because of the shiploads of seafood that get processed everyday. It's one of the cleanest I've ever seen.

Voyeur Shot!!! Street Market in Kyoto, Japan

One of many temples in Kyoto. Tilt-shifted this a bit and played a lot with the colors in Photoshop.

Anyone know what this says? What is the significance of the 2 shrines in the background?

Japan is always alive with lights, even at night. If it's not the hustle-and-bustle party streets of Roppongi, there are many quiet shrines (sometimes in people's houses) that light up the neighborhood.

A junk boat in HK, China. Photo-shopped beyond belief :)
